Hi!
I'm Rory, and I created Inside Climbing, an independent journalism publication focused on climbing as a competitive sport, covering stories around indoor and competition climbing.
I discovered climbing during my PhD in Sheffield, UK, at the "old age" of 25. I fell in love with the activity and the community surrounding it. Climbing is "my church": I know I can go anywhere in the world, and there is a climbing wall; I will find my people. I feel very lucky that I found this community.
Now, I want to give back.
With Inside Climbing, I cover climbing as a sport inspired by The Escape Collective and The Defector.
I will connect you to the sport and those who make it happen. I will cover all three disciplines, Boulder, Lead and Speed and I will share the stories of those who make the sport happen. Together we will dive deep into the stories behind the competitions and the indoor climbing wall.
